Nurnberg Sinking by W L Wyllie. At the end of the Battle of the Falkland Islands, while boats from HMS Kent went to pick up survivors of the Nurnberg, the German cruiser hauled right over on her side and sank. The remaining crew were a brave lot - one man stood aloft and held the German ensign waving in his hands til the ship went under. |
